I have lived in Pilning since 1974. Our children were educated locally and have now left the area to pursue successful careers. My husband, Geoff, died in 2008.
I worked for several years at Pilning School and am currently involved in St Peter’s Church, the local Ramblers Group and Severn Beach Scout Group. I am coming to the end of a 3 year term as the Chairman of Severnside Ramblers Group. This role and my life in our parish has nurtured an understanding and concern for the built and natural environments.

Having spent my childhood and adolescence in the USSR, I moved to Olveston in 1996, and then to Pilning in 2000, where my husband and I built a house on our family farm. I work for an IT company as a data analyst; and I am also a member of Orthopaedic Data Evaluation Panel, an independent panel of experts who benchmark medical implants.
As the Chairman of Pilning Station Group (formed in 2016) and an ardent advocate for public transport and sustainability, I am trying to make a contribution to the local community with regards to transport, in the hope to improve the local environment and the quality of life in our Parish.

Cllr. Sue Binns
I have lived in the village for almost 36 years having moved here from Bristol in 1979.
I am married with three children, all grown up now, and during their childhood I was involved in Mothers and Toddlers, Pilning Playgroup and Pilning School where I was on the committee of the Friends and was a Parent Governor for 12 years. For 21 years I was a member of Pilning Carnival Committee, chairing it for 15 of those years.
Having recently retired from my job as a Primary School Teacher I have some time which I would like to use to the benefit of our community. I am a grandparent and also have an elderly parent and I feel I have some understanding of what families are looking for from our community.

I was born in Bristol and married Pauline in 1982.
We moved to Severn Beach with our two children in 1988. Both of my children attended Severn Beach School and later Marlwood.
My youngest grandchild also attends Severn Beach School. I work locally in Avonmouth for a company that manufactures components for the Motor Manufacturing Market. I was actively involved with the youth movement first with the Air Training Corps in Bristol and later with The Cubs/Scouts in Pilning.
In my spare time I can be found pottering around on my allotments in Severn Beach.

Most people call me Del, I moved to Bristol from Herts in 1982.
I am married with two children, my son is in his last year at Uni, and my daughter is in Primary School.
I spent many years as a Funeral Director before venturing off into the world of Probate.

My aim is to make sure that I help make a very difficult time go smoothly.
