Anuran Wickramasinghe (Vice Chair)

Anuran has lived in the area for just under 3 years. He is a Chartered Engineer working for an Engineering Consultancy in Bristol. He has a keen interest in community based projects. Prior to coming to South Glos Anuran worked in London for 25 years and more recently spent a few years in the Middle East as a project director on a £4billion sustainable city regeneration scheme. Anuran is a member of Emmaus Church in Severn Beach and his hobbies include travelling and sports cars.

Gary Sheppard (Treasurer)

Gary Sheppard - a 45 year resident of the parish, Gary is a business professional with extensive experience of the telecoms, construction and property markets. Having spent a number of years as a director of a FTSE 250 company he spent the last 15 years of his career developing and advising private businesses before retiring.

Ian S Roberts

Ian has lived in Parish for 20 years in total, his first five years of life and then the last fifteen in Northwick. Ian and his wife, Jackie have twin girls. 
He works in the construction industry and has done for the last thirty-seven years with many projects in Gloucestershire, Somerset and Bristol.
Ian's hobbies revolve around sport and nature. He played rugby at Thornbury, cricket at Old Down, boule at Oldbury and skittles in Thornbury and at Redwick for Swanmoor (a long time ago now).  Ian loves watching or taking photos of the wading birds on the estuary and tries to champion the environment and its protection as much as he can.

Jonathan Edwardes
(Secretary / Responsible Financial Officer)

I have lived in the parish all my life and attended Redwick and Northwick School.
Most of my career has been working on the railway in the operations side of the industry.
I am Director of music for St Peter's Festival Choir and until recently was one of the Churchwardens at St Peter's Church Pilning.

John Miller

John has lived in Severn Beach all his life.  His father started a camping business at Salthouse Farm in the 1940’s when Severn Beach was a popular holiday destination.  He took over the business and farm in 1972.
The holiday business changed into a residential retirement park after Severn Beach changed and the Second Severn Crossing was constructed.  
He has been involved with Emmaus Church from childhood and was partly responsible for overseeing the construction of the new building in Gorse Cover Road.
He has joined the Parish Plan because he hopes to see the village fully developed into a thriving sustainable community where businesses, social clubs, schools and churches prosper.

Mike Harrison

Nick Davies

Nick is a chartered surveyor with over 25 years experience in the commercial property sector.  He moved to New Passage with his wife and children a dozen years ago and has served on the Parish Council. Nick enjoys basketball as a spectator and has recently started training to become a basketball table official.

Penny Riches

Richard Edwards (Chair)

A Pilning resident for 31 years, local inputs have included; Parent Governor at Marlwood School for 6 years, Chair of Redwick & Northwick School FOS and Chair of Pilning Flower Show. Worked as an engineer in the highly regulated power industry for 40+ years in; project management, quality and safety management systems, non-destructive testing and supply chain. Retired in 2019.
