Anuran Wickramasinghe

Anuran has lived in the area for just under 3 years. He is a Chartered Engineer working for an Engineering Consultancy in Bristol. He has a keen interest in community based projects. Prior to coming to South Glos Anuran worked in London for 25 years and more recently spent a few years in the Middle East as a project director on a £4billion sustainable city regeneration scheme. Anuran is a member of Emmaus Church in Severn Beach and his hobbies include travelling and sports cars.

Gary Sheppard (Treasurer)

Gary Sheppard - a 45 year resident of the parish, Gary is a business professional with extensive experience of the telecoms, construction and property markets. Having spent a number of years as a director of a FTSE 250 company he spent the last 15 years of his career developing and advising private businesses before retiring.

Jacqs Graham

A Pilning resident for almost 40 years has a background in education and theatre. Now semi-retired, Jacqs is enjoying the opportunity to become more involved in the local community once again.

Jonathan Edwardes
(Secretary / Responsible Financial Officer)

I have lived in the parish all my life and attended Redwick and Northwick School.
Most of my career has been working on the railway in the operations side of the industry.
I am Director of music for St Peter's Festival Choir and until recently was one of the Churchwardens at St Peter's Church Pilning.

John Miller

John has lived in Severn Beach all his life.  His father started a camping business at Salthouse Farm in the 1940’s when Severn Beach was a popular holiday destination.  He took over the business and farm in 1972.
The holiday business changed into a residential retirement park after Severn Beach changed and the Second Severn Crossing was constructed.  
He has been involved with Emmaus Church from childhood and was partly responsible for overseeing the construction of the new building in Gorse Cover Road.
He has joined the Parish Plan because he hopes to see the village fully developed into a thriving sustainable community where businesses, social clubs, schools and churches prosper.

Nigel Barton

Nigel is a Severn Beach resident for more than 20 years. He has a background in Nuclear and Aerospace Engineering, IT and Data Analytics.

Olga Taylor

Having spent childhood and adolescence in St Petersburg, Russia, Olga moved to the parish in 2000. She works as a data analyst for a UK provider of software solutions for the public sector, including UK government, healthcare, housing and public safety. Olga hopes to make a positive contribution to the local community, by improving the local environment and the quality of life in the Parish. Outside of work / parish council / family duties, Olga can be found racking up the miles on her bike or taking photos of local landmarks.

Peter Tyzack

Peter moved to Severn Beach from Bristol in 1987.
He was councillor for Pilning & Severn Beach on South Glos Council from 1995-2011 and during that time was on the planning committee and was Chair of the Severn Estuary Partnership.
He was a governor of Severn Beach School when his two children were pupils there, and later was a governor of St Peter’s school during the transition to the new building.
He also helped to set up the Severn Beach regeneration group and the Local History Group.

Richard Edwards (Vice Chair)

A Pilning resident for 31 years, local inputs have included; Parent Governor at Marlwood School for 6 years, Chair of Redwick & Northwick School FOS and Chair of Pilning Flower Show. Worked as an engineer in the highly regulated power industry for 40+ years in; project management, quality and safety management systems, non-destructive testing and supply chain. Retired in 2019.
